A Place in Thyme is ideally located for visits to various attractions in the Southern Peninsula, such as the picturesque seaside villages of Kalk Bay and Simon’s Town, Boulders Penguin Colony, Cape Point, wine tasting and ostrich farms. After a busy day of sightseeing, guests can come back to the peaceful environment of A Place in Thyme to relax and unwind.

A five-minute drive takes you to Fish Hoek beach, which is ideal for swimming, long beach walks and whale watching (in season). For the more active there are golf courses in nearby Clovelly and Simon’s Town, surfing, boogie boarding, sailing, horse riding, hiking and walking trails. A Place in Thyme is a 40-minute drive from Cape Town city centre and about 45 minutes from Cape Town International Airport.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Small Thyme and found it very convenient, very comfortable and spotless. The hosts were very welcoming, the bed was super cosy and the apartment is well equipped. The view of False Bay is beautiful. Shopping in Sun Valley is really convenient and access to the beach in Fish Hoek is easy and golf courses are close by. There are also lots of good restaurants close-by in Simon's Town, Kalk Bay and St. James. There is a small kitchenette in the apartment with a barbecue area outside on the lawn. This is the perfect place to stay to use as a base when touring the area which is simply stunning! We cannot wait to return!

A place in thyme is a peaceful and relaxing self catering accommodation with the perfect view... Very neat and tidy and a good place to unwind and relax... I would highly recommend a place In thyme and will definitely go there again

Beautiful place ,very secluded ,peaceful and comfortable . Easy access to many landmarks and fantastic restaurants. The hostess the most kind and sweetest lady she made us welcome ,checked in daily with a message ,asking if we okay ,how we slept and if there is anything she can do to make our stay more comfortable . Im definitely be going back . Wonderful place
